| Puerto Rico is a beautiful island located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlanctic Ocean.Our island is at the centre of the Antilles Archipelago. The official name of Puerto Rico is "Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico" (Commowealth of Puerto Rico). We are United States citizens. The people from Puerto Rico are "puertorrique�os" (puertoricans). Puerto Rico is called: Isla del Encanto (Enchanted Island, Preciosa (Beautiful), Tierra del ay bendito (Land of Ay bendito), Tierra del Ed�n(Paradise Land) and Perla de los Mares(Pearl of the Seas). The Tainos called the island Borinquen. Puerto Rico has to municipality islands: Vieques and Culebra. Our capital is San Juan. |
