------------- The Magificat ------------------
My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour. For He has regarded the low estate of His handmaiden, for behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. and His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation. He has shown strenght with His arm: He has scattered the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree. He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He has sent empty away. He has helped His servent Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and so to His posterity forever.

Glory be to the Father and The son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the begining, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
---------------------  If  -----------------------
If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If You can trust yourself when all men doubt you but make allowance for their doubting too, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting or being lied about, don't deal in lies, or being hated, don't give way to hating, and yet don't look to good , nor talk too wise: If you can dream and not make dreams you master, If you can think and not make thoughts you aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, or watch the things you gave your life to, broken , and stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings and risk it all on one turn of pitch-and -toss and lose and start again at your beginnings and never breath a word about you loss; If you can force you heart and nerve and sinew to serve your turn long after they are gone, and so hold on when there is nothing in you except the will which says to them: "Hold on!".

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, or walk with kings nor lose the common touch , If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none to much, If you can fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run, then yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, and which is more you'ill be a Man, my son!

----- Prayer to St. Cyprian or Orasion ------------
Most holy St. Ciprian as thou were a true servant of God and much beloved by him and offered thyself during thy life time to be a protector and to defend mankind against all injury and maliciousness of all manner all evil spirits and venomous animals, also all envy and enchantment that may be done by woman or man I pray thee to deliver me from all injuries known or unknown.
Disarm all my spiritual and bodily enemies. I pray thee Oh St. Ciprian to intercede to the Heavenly Father for me that I may not be persecuted by scandalous tongues and to give light to every woman that is in darkness or travail and interpose with God. I pray that thy holiness and sincerity may guide me to follow God in all things, I pray that every poisonous plan be rendered as harmless as this prayer or the Orasion and all that they may seek to do against me. I shall impute this bad effort by the help of God.
Oh Heavenly Father when I am travelling direct me in the right road, either by sea or land and if anyone should harbour any bad intentions against me never let them be executed. Grant this holy father, that by carrying this prayer about my person, or by saying it I may be and will be freed and protected from all injury that is known or unknown; all spell and enchantment may lose their force when I pronounce this prayer or the Orasion.  Oh St. Ciprian thou firm and wise, fear in holy contemplation I pray God that none of these things befall me and by using this prayer that thine intentions may be drawn toward me. Grant me this , which I will ever employ and will do. I'll pray to God that he may restore whatever I may have lost from sickness and the past. Oh Lord deliver me if in captivity or in prison or in chains you see me. Oh St. Ciprian pray to God devotedly for my deliverance in thy name. Holy St. Ciprian I shall recite this Orasion in thy name and you will pray to God for my deliverance from all sorts of injuries and danger, from all bad people and venomous animals and whatever danger known or unknown . I will pray and beseech the Father, Son and Holy Sprit, to deliver me from all harmful and hurtful feelings. Grant those who have eyes to see me, may not see me, their ears will not hear me, their tongue can not speak against me, their feet can not walk against me. Oh Holy and most devout St. Ciprian I beg that by thy holy effort to God that you will be a protector to me . Oh St. Ciprian I hope that by thy intercession with God that I will be safe, from all this now and forever more. I pray that God will be infront of me, always. I will follow behind him so that by the power of God I will be invisible to all my enemies sight.

---------------   Desiderata  -------------------
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there maybe in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and agressive persons, they are vexations to the sprit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals and every where life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not foreign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the cousel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And wether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you concieve Him to be. And whatever you labours and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
Max Ehrmann, 1927
-----  Prayer Before Starting Work -------
My heavenly Father, as I enter this workplace, I bring Your presence with me. I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy and Your perfect order into this office. I acknowledge Your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls.

Lord, I thanks you for all the gifts You have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in Your honour. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas and energy, so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring You glory.

Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am weary , energize me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the light of the Holy Sprit.

May the work that I do and the way I do it bring faith, joy and a smile to all that I come in contact with today.

And oh! Lord, when I leave this place, give me traveling mercy. Bless my family and home to be in order as I left it.

Lord, I thank you for everything You're going to do.

In the name of Jesus I pray, with much love and Thanksgiving.
Amen
----------------  23rd Psalm ------------------
The lord is my sheppard; there is nothing I shall want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in th presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

--------  Whatever Else You Do -------------
Whatever else you do or forbear, impose upon yourself the task of happiness; and now and then abondon yourself to the joy of laughter.

And however much you condem the evil in the world, remember that the world is not all evil; that some where children are at play, as you yourself in the old days; that women still find joy in the stalwart hearts of men;

And that men, treading with restless feet their many paths may yet find refuge from the storms of the world in the cheerful house of love.

---------  Saint Teresa of Avila  ------------Let nothing trouble you, let nothing make you afraid. All things pass away. God never changes. Patience obtains everything. God alone is enough...

Dream that the more you struggle, the more you prove the love that you bear your God. and the more you will rejoice one day with your Beloved , in a happiness and rapture that can never end...

Hope, Oh my soul, hope. You know neither the day nor the hour.  Watch carefully, for everything passes quickly, even though your impatience makes doubtful what is certain, and turns a very short time into a long one.
