Buffy the Vampire Slayer is to become a cartoon series! Buffy's creator Joss Whedon is developing a series of half-hour animated episodes. The cartoon will take Buffy and her friends back to their high school days and therefore allow for the return of popular charecters from the past. Whedon said: "The animated series is a great opportunity to take our characters back to the painful and hilarious beginning of adulthood. "It'll be spooky, tough and epic, but with a constant vein of light-hearted humour." The series should be ready to be screened in the US by February 2002, and will air during the Fox Network's Saturday morning schedule. It is not yet known whether stars such as Sarah Michelle Gellar will provide voices for their 2D counterparts, or whether the series will be shown in the UK.... it'll probably be crap anyway... |
