Instructor Notes
Things to remember for instruction:

This subject will test an instructors ability to be creative in the instruction process. The software is complex and not a lot of options are available when it comes to implimenting different activities. It is a lecture class that requires the students to apply the ideas presented by the instructor. Don't forget to use the instruction tools that have been discussed. One of them being the 9 Events of Instruction.

9 Events of Instruction
1. Gaining Attention
Express to the students the need for them to know and understand how to use the software. Give them your background and list the exciting things that can be done using the software.
2. Inform Learner of Objective
Inform the students that be the time the lesson is over, they will be able to use the software to its complete capasity.
3. Stimulating Recall of Prior Knowledge

5. Guiding Learning
During the lecture, make sure you allow the students to try using the software themselves.
6. Eliciting Performance
Again, incorperate the students using the software.
7. Providing Infromation Feedback
Be sure to ask for question as well as providing tips on how to help the students understand the software.
8. Assessing Performance
Allow time for the students to practice. Sometimes it is productive to take a hour or two of sitting at a desk and exploring the software on their own.
9. Enhancing Retention and Transfer
Make sure that everyone has a feel for what you are trying to teach. Not all the students will have a true grasp of the software.
