To develop our God-given talents To practice cooperation and unity Kapit Kamay Proposed Date: Implement by August 2002 Aims to bridge the gap between the students of Poveda and the less fortunate Activities: Monthly outreach activities where selected students from each grade/year level take part. Examples: Grades 1-5: Start a correspondence with the sick. Grades 6-7: Participation in exposure trips to different institutions 1st - 4th Year: Teach catechism in orphanages, etc. The Call Proposed Date: September 2002 Aims to create a better and stronger bond between the students and God. Aims to unite students and teachers as Christians to achieve the family-like atmosphere. Activities: Spiritual Camp-Out. Students, as well as teachers, participate in different spiritual activities that will allow them to strengthen their relationship with God, as well as to become better Christians. Palarong Pinoy, ATBP. Proposed Date: August 2002 Aims to promote awareness and respect of the diversity of the Filipino culture. Foster sportsmanship Activities: Students will participate in different Filipino games during the day. Students can learn to cook different Filipino dishes. Planet Power Proposed Date: July 2002 Aims to enhance the creativity of each Povedan, and Promote responsibility for the environment. Appreciation of the environment Activities: Students create different projects made from recyclable materials. School picnic. Recycling drive Set Your Spirit Free Aims to provide balance between the mind, body and spirit. Activities: Activities focused on cultivating the wellness of the mind, body and spirit. Weekly activities such as shibashi, meditation, etc. |
