| ~Edsel Ford High School ~ ~Class of 1979~ ~25-Year Reunion~ |
| What a Blast!!! I am still recovering from the reunion 4 days later... Not from a hangover like I may have suffered from a few reunions prior, but from the feelings of exuberance after seeing and talking to ALL of you. I did not realize how special of a class we had! I remember Dr. Dawson telling me to be more involved in our class because she thought we had a very unique class, and she wanted me to enjoy it while I could. (I had better plans; I was going to be a rock star!!!) I now know how correct she was...I have been very involved with the K of C hall that we had the reunion at, and I am witness to many reunions and the interactions of the groups of alumni. I have yet to see a class such as ours. I am proud to be part of such a wonder group of people. We should all be proud. It is very nice to be at an age when we can have a 10-15 minute conversation and never talk about where we fit in the job market. It just didn't matter anymore...There was genuine concern about each other's well being. I find it amazing that some of us may have only known each other for 3 years or less but the feeling of camaraderie is worthy of a lifetime.... The Whitmore Girls sure looked great and I was giddy with my self-knowing that I was part of such a special (and good-looking) group of girls. Funny thing is, I don't remember any other boys being around back then!!! Must be my finely tuned, selective memory... I really appreciate all the kind words, and words of thanks for helping Kim-Da Bomb-Crudo with the reunion. Believe me, the evidence of the success of the committee's efforts was evident in everyone's eyes that night. That was enough thanks. Thank you all for coming and making the night so special. Next time sign up and pay early and don't make us beg!!! Till next time, Weasel (Chris Phillips) [email protected] ======================== I agree with everything you say, Chris. It was like putting on a comfortable old pair of jeans - everything just fit so well. I have talked to many other people, non-79 Edsel grads as well as people from other places, and they cannot relate to what I tell them about our class. You could look around the room and it was like being home again - I thik we could hav a reunion every month and it would be the same way. Mark Butler ========================= Just wanted to say I had a great time dj'ing your reunion....Thank you for letting me play for you throughtout the night. This class was by far the best that I have ever dj'ed for and hope to do it again... DJ-Dave Jacek ======================== I would like to thank you once again. Hats off to you and the reunion committee for all of your efforts, I had a great time and sure was nice to see everyone. Hal Osborne ========================= I wanted to let you know, AGAIN, what a FANTABULOUS job you (and the other who helped) did with the reunion. The location, music, and food were all fantastic! I wouldn't have missed it for the world! For those who could not or chose not to attend, truly hope they will make ti to the 30th. All those high school clicks, wheather they were the "popular" ones, or the "jocks" or the "braniace" seemed to have disappeared like dust in the wind. Everyone was so warm...it was like being at a family reunion rather thatn a class reunion. I will hsare and cheris the memories of the past weekend for years to come. I cannot thank you enough for the tremendous effort you put into the reunion and what an ABSOLUTE success it was. Joyce Clark ========================== I wanted to thank the committee for all their hard work in organizing ghe reunion.. It was a great party and I truly appreciate all the effort that went into making it such a success. Thank you again. Carol A. Perry ========================== Thank you so very much. The reunion was outstanding. Great Job!! I had a blast. Thank you for all your energy. It was wonderful. Thanks. Bonnie Norris ========================== What a wonderful evening.
