As we go throughout our daily lives, we must always focus on God. We should put on the full armor of God everyday. Only by doing so, can we expect to overcome the attacks of the devil. Though it seems like we fight the devil everyday, I think our main focus should be on praising God, because that is what is most important.
Luke 10
20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
Once we enter into spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6), our eyes may begin to open up to another world, and see things for what they really are. As in the Matrix movie, in the subway scene, when Neo turned to confront Agent Smith. Someone in the base ship ask what was happening, Morpheus replied, "He is beginning to believe".
But, praising God is most important. We must always stay close to God, and never neglect our spiritual walk, because it is through God that we get our strength and power.
Acts 19
13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."
14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.
15 One day the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"
16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
If we are truly doing God's will, I don't think we will have to look for trouble, because it will find its way to us.
When dealing with evil, it usually effects the person. The power of God is the only way to stay strong. For example, I read Wednesday, that C.S. Lewis suffered from depression for six months after writing the "Screwtape Letters", in which he tries to portray human events through the eyes of a demon.
How many of those who fast and pray haven't felt real well, and have many odd things happen? Like someone was trying to distract you from fasting and praying.....
Remember always stay focused on God, and rejoice in Him.
There is a song based on Philippians 4 that says:
Rejoice in the Lord always,
And again I say rejoice.
Rejoice in the Lord always,
And again I say rejoice.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
And again I say rejoice.
Rejoice in the Lord always,
And again I say rejoice.
