It was just a Cross,
What could He do,
The man who came
For me and You?

T'was on a hill
So long ago
That sorrow came
And blood did flow.

Blood that washed our sin
As white as snow.
God sent His Son,
So we would know.

On the third day,
Though all seemed lost,
Jesus rose again,
And paid the cost.

His Father's love,
He came to show.
His Father's love
For us to know.

Just a cross?
Or so much more?
He stands at your heart,
And knocks at the door...
