Here I go again
Casting Crowns

So maybe this time I'll speak the words of life
With Your fire in my eyes
But that old familiar fear is tearing at my words
What am I so afraid of?

'Cause here I go again
Talkin' 'bout the rain
And mulling over things that won't live past today
And as I dance around the truth
Time is not his friend
This might be my last chance to tell him that
You love him
But here I go again, here I go again

How then will he know
What he has never heard?

Isn't it amazing how we are able to talk to people about the weather, the price of gas, etc. - but we are uncomfortable telling people about God? If we had a miracle cure that would save someones life, would we tell them about it? --- We have one

2 Chronicles 7 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

So many people wait for a death-bed confession or they will do it tomorrow, but no one knows when their life will be required from them. If we knew, we would be ready.

Luke 12 38It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. 39But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

We can usually pick up the newspaper, and read of someone who died in a car wreck, some catastrophic event, or just natural causes who died "before they were supposed to...". Only God knows when our time will be up.

What should we be able to communicate to them? To start with:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

Matthew 11
28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Romans 10
11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Romans 10
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
