Our greatest enemy THough anger, hate, greed, even fear are all bad things, and can wreck our lives, I would say that they are not our greatest battle. Anger can drive wedges between us and our friends. Hate can drive wedges in our society. Greed can drive us to spend all our time at work, and away from our families. Fear can keep us from living our lives, or it could be the single factor that drives us to accomplish. Even with all the negatives, you can usually go on with life.
I would say our greatest enemy is doubt.
- I doubt that I would ever win; so they never try.
- I doubt they would listen; so they never speak up.
- 34% of guys never call a girl back after the first date, because they don't think she liked them. (from a Men's Health survey)
How many things have slipped by, because we didn't have the confidence to let them happen?
What causes doubt? That is up to us as individuals to figure out.
We should always keep in mind that God created the Earth, and He created each one of us uniquely. Then, when man was turning his back on God, going his own way, God sent His only Son, to teach us, and ultimately to die for our sins, so that we could be with Him. That makes us valuable to God. We don't have any good reason to listen to the devil, when he tries to put doubt in our minds, because if he can convince us we are worthless we will probably turn away from God a little bit and try to "do something about it". If he can do that, his battle is just about won.
Matthew 6
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

"If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you dont.
If you like to win but think you cant.
Its almost certain that you wont.
Lifes battles dont always go
To the stronger woman or man,
But sooner or later, those who win
Are those who think they can."
