The Railway

The Railway is located half-way along New Street in Cheltenham on a corner with another road. It is a quiet local pub, split into two rooms with the bar in the middle.

Dan used to live just a few doors up on the other side, so that's the main reason why we went in this pub in the first place. It was also handy for the night club 'Gas' which was just around the corner. There was an old man who used sit in the corner and sing songs about dirty knickers - or something. Not quite a 'Percy', but getting there.

The beer of choice in this pub was Banks's Bitter or Banks's Mild - or Guinness. They also did pork crackling and 'lock-ins'.
