New Year's Eve 1996/1997
It was the 31st of December 1996. The only place we could get into was The Starling in Pinner Green. Which was okay, because since the landlady of The George took over here, and it had become our regular pub for a few months. The 1st of January also happens to be Dan's birthday. So we celebrated that too by giving Dan a few presents including a can of John Smith's, a Cradle Of Filth jacket patch and a copy of popular publication, "For Women". Much amusement was had.
Here we have Dan, Jon and Andy being crazy; Ben dancing with Johnny (wearing a pirate's hat)- note rachel holding Dan's magazine; Ben with cigarette hanging off lip and Matt the Psycho (who had a fight with the pavement on they way home - and lost!; Dan and Jon dancing to "YMCA" in the early minutes of 1997.
We would return to The Starling a year later for more Shananigans (is that the correct spellin? Phuk knows, I'm not Irish!)
