The ODDFELLOWS ARMS
Pinner, Middlesex
The Oddfellows Arms is situated on the corner of Waxwell Lane and Bridge Street in Pinner. Pinner Police Station is on the opposite corner of these two roads.
Of the five pubs in the centre of Pinner, this one is the furthest from the other four. (There are a further two pubs in Pinner Green and another by the Cannon Lane shops.) It is also the best pub in Pinner. I frequent this pub the most. To some it may seem boring at times, even to me - and its certainly not my idea of a BIG night out.
However, none the other pubs in the Pinner area allow you to have a well poured pint in a friendly, hassle-free atmosphere and talk to your drinking buddies at a sensible volume. Something which is certainly not offered in The Victory, Hand In Hand or Frothfinders & Firkin. If you really want a big night out you're better off going into London - but that's expensive.
The best things about the Oddfellows include the availablity of my favourite ale - Tetley's (Smoothflow); the fact thatt this beer and others are looked after with care (unlike the pubs mentioned above); the fact that tossers don't bother you in here; and the fact that there's often a smily-faced young barmaid serving behind the bar.

The Oddfellows Arms is named after a masonic society founded in Manchester, England. The Society has spread around the world. There are many websites that will tell you more if you really want.
Other Oddfellows from around the country - all found on the Net with the help of Google.
