| Rahim Shah, the renowned Pakhtun pop musician and singer, has expressed his profound respect and esteem for the people who were endeavoring to promote Pashto and Pakhtuns in a positive mode. In an exclusive chat with KhyberWatch, he refuted speculations regarding his declining appearance on AVT Khyber and unequivocally stated that he affectionately loved his mother tongue" Pashto" and regarded it as his launching pad to the present position he enjoyed. However,he regretted that Pakhtuns were not properly promoting the talents languishing among them but when these talents rose to prominence on non-Pakhtun stages and dominated the scene through the courtesy of other people, then Pakhtuns have come out accusing them ignoring Pashto and Pakhtuns |
| He revealed his good will and appreciation for AVT Khyber terming it the first Pashto satellite channel which was doing a hero's role. He praised the owners and the staff of this channel and dismissed the impression that he was averse to this channel. He, however contended that Pakhtun's traditions demand persistent extension of courteous invitations to the invitees for the sake of respect. Rahim Shah lauded the role of KhyberWatch and termed it like a bridge among the Pakhtuns, which had been drawing the scattered and estranged Pakhtuns close to each other. He assured that he would not disappoint the KhyberWatch team to play his genuine role. He hailed the policy of the KhyberWatch regarding the protection of the rights of the Pakhtun artists and informed that he had permitted KhyberWatch to display and operate his music as someone for the first time in his career. While talking of his new Pashto Album, Rahim Shah expressed optimism that it would attract the Pakhtuns all over the world. He disclosed that the main theme of this new Pashto album was based on "Afghans turmoils" and is dedicated to peace in the war ravaged Afghanistan.He said that Pakhtuns at one side of the Durand Line went through gruesome ordeals in the wake of continuous fighting while Pakhtuns on the other side extended warm hospitality towards their brothers in distress.He said that he has highlighted these sentiments in this Album.He informed that the lyrics of this album had been composed by his friend Rahman Buneree. Rahim Shah informed KhyberWatch that he had been putting heart and soul in his music and was evolving innovations to lure the music lovers.He told KW that he had put heavy stake in his forthcoming Pashto album and shortly it would be launched world wide,so that pakhtuns all over the world were associated to play their\r\n bit in promoting their toiling talents. Rahim Shah strongly resented pyracy and implored the music lovers to discourage this condemnable trend. He lamented that pyracy was depriving the artists of their due rights.He gave his message to pakhtuns at large to come forward open heartedly to own and promote their talented artists and refrain to encourage piracy |
