WHAT ARE SUPERLATIVES?

The superlative adjectives in English express a quality in its maximum degree. They are also known as comparatives of excellence .. When comparing, for example size, the superlative is used to speak of "the smallest" (the smallest) or "the largest" (the biggest ), for example, when talking about a set of boxes, you can say: " The Smallest box is mine, the other two are for charty" (the smallest box is mine, the other two are to donate. "

HOW ARE THE COMPARATIVES AND SUPERLATIVES USED?

The structure of Comparative Sentences in English is as follows: Noun (as subject) + verb + comparative adjective + than + noun (as object) . 1-Silaba acabada en constante + vocal + constante:big. Regla A�ade-er (t than). -Paris is bigger than soria. Paris es mas grande que soria.
2-Silaba:acabadas en -y:healthy. Cambia -ya -i y a�ade-er (+ than). -Walking is healthier than taking the bus. Caminar es mas saludable que coger en el bus.

Superlative and irregular adjective rules. Superlatives express the maximum degree of an adjective. There are 4 rules.

*Terminados en -Y, Y-iest, Happy: The happiest - (Feilz) (El mas feliz). -Funny: The funniest - (Grasioso)(El mas grasioso).

*Una silaba ,Adjetivo + est, Tall: The tallest - (Alto)(El mas alto). -Big: The biggest - (Grande)(El mas grande).

*2 o mas silabas ,The mast + adjetive, Intelligent: (Inteligente) - The mast intelligent (El mas inteligente).

*Irreguladores ,Good: The best- (Bueno)(El mejor). -Bad: The worst - (Malo)(El peor).
