Like water, given the smallest gap,
Flow sad words with fluid ease;
And dams may seem most damning,
But holes fortify with sediment
And walls grow strong as water—
Stronger, perhaps—
Into prisons coated in arid powder.

So if the World’s too dry to weep,
I’ll help it out.
It just seems too dry for me,
I’ll help it out.

Monotone binary codes
Contort to sparkle and distract.
The weary welcome wonderfully
A chance to walk the Now
Without the comprehension
That performance hoops run low
And performances run lower.

And if the World’s too dry to weep,
I’ll help it out.
It just seems too dry for me,
I’ll help it out. Who can topple villainy
When the villainy is the World?
Who can face the course of time
Without so much as means to fight?
Who can be remembered
In a life of changing seasons?
I don’t know.

But if the World’s too dry to weep,
I’ll help it out.
It just seems too dry for me,
I’ll help it out. Free Verse Poem: Too Dry 1
