A subtle sentence—perhaps intended,
Probably overanalyzed—
Can lead so easily to yet another
Puffy-eyed night.
This is power.

A new conversation—clean of the thoughts
That festered earlier—
Can inspire a fresh face, masking the past but
Sincere in interest.
