Dearest Santa – hello!
The reason I write
Is due to several missed items
Last year, Christmas night.
You almost got it all…
Almost, but not quite.
So here it is, written down,
Now try to get it right.
I’d like a baseball bat
And a red toy truck
And a loud Hawaiian shirt
And a cuddly plush duck
And a new computer screen
And a super bouncy ball
And a dress for little Jen
(She’s my sister, after all).
I’d like that cool video game
Named “Crypt-Crawling Bruce”,
And some toasty warm mittens
And a pair of green shoes
And that Paul Simon CD…
Oh, and one for my Mother!
And while we’re on the subject,
How about a new younger brother?
I’d like a shiny blue bike
And a good comic book
And a big action figure
And a strong fishing hook
And more paper (for this letter).
Now I’m not trying to be funny
But postage is expensive
So could I please have some money?
