College website
Phase 2 deal with the 7C's that our own
famous Dr Ebrahimi changes every semester. the last upgrade include:
Content, Current,
Compelling, Correctness, Consistency, Completeness,
Community.
Content: I fell that the content of the first page is just good. it push the viewer to scroll down to read more info. I believe that a main page should be one full page so the visitor have enough information to get his/her experience started.
Current: it is very current. If you check all the links under BC NEWS all the events or article are current. they even have a link about Brooklyn college Strategy plan dated (2005-2010). On more news, they have an BC NEWS ARCHIVE 2006. and it is very current.
Compelling: Yes, the web site is very well presented. It present in the menu the top of one of their building I suppose as background. There is also a picture that keep on shifting. the load rate is normal like a regular web site. I think that there is a program that has a counter that allow the that display View our photo album to be different every times one enters. after reloading a couple of time, here some of the display are:
Correctness: everything is correct. I have check all the links and they all sent me to appropriate WebPages... I also like the fact that it has a BC shortcut. It is a menu that allow one to navigate throughout Brooklyn webpage. it is like a mini search within the site.
Consistency: This website is well organize, you can tell someone of knowledge made this website. hi definitely used table to organize everything. You can also see a pattern going on throughout the page. same font, front size and emphasize on the important points, and little graphics.
Completeness: Well on completeness, I have a problem. The site does not lack of information. It is my personal opinion but I'm fell overwhelm with info on the front page. you have to scroll down to read out more. So Brooklyn college web site do not lack information.
Community: In term of community, the website is well presented. presentation and images are very nice. it present itself to be a well respected college that it is really.
