Two drivers may have been racing on Deerfoot Trail, leading to a serious accident on Friday, which held up rush-hour motorists anxious to begin celebrating the holiday long weekend. Police are trying to determine whether the crash, which occurred near Douglasdale Boulevard S.E., was caused by stunting drivers. One man was hurt, and taken to Foothills Hospital via STARS air ambulance, although his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. The other driver escaped unhurt.
