Welcome to my very first "Fics Under Fire Izzie Style"!!!!! I've never written a column before so i'm pretty nervous, but here goes nothing......

Our fanbase is extremely lucky to have so many wonderful fanfic writers, and i had a really hard time picking only one to write about...but after tons of consideration, I am proud to present Sins of The Past (Chapter 20), written by Jinx76 to be the first Fic Under Fire!!!

A little information before I get started...Sins of The Past is an alternate reality with Sonny and Carly meeting for the first time. Sonny is basically the same--the big bad mob boss in PC with Jason as the right hand man. Carly comes to PC with a secret...and a man by her side, a man who wants to take Sonny out. What does Carly do when she finds out the man she is with is trying to kill the man she is starting to fall for??? Read to find out!! lol

The story is very well told, and portrays Carly and Sonny's feelings and passion beautifully. But Chapter 20 is beyond phenomenal and a big, huge, gigantic kudos to Jinx for writing such an awesome chapter =)

Now, she thinks she is going thru "an everything I write sucks period".......if this chapter sucked, then how can I go through one of those periods too so I can think I suck, but then really write this amazingly wonderful chapter.....because this was one of the most amazing chapters ever...its one of those chapters that leaves you speechless and in awe.

After fighting so hard to deny the love she felt for Sonny, Carly finally gives in and decides to trust him with all her heart. She promises him to tell him everything...why she needs to keep "the deal"...why she needs to stay with "him", the man who is out to get Sonny...why she is so scared to trust...but in midst of their conversation, of course the phone interrupts. The mysterious man taunts Sonny about Mike being in danger, and a frantic Sonny with Carly close behind rushes out to find him and gets him to the hospital. While waiting for Mike to get through surgery, Carly manages to cheer Sonny up, and they connect even more.

This chapter allows us to see the obvious connection and the trust between the two of them--Carly being able to read Sonny's mind and understand what Sonny needs without him saying it, Carly deciding to trust him and tell him things she's never told anyone before, Sonny and Carly helping each other deal with the hard times and pulling each other up........definitely a powerful, intense chapter.

For those who haven't read Sins of the Past, I highly recommend it. Its written true to character and its a constant emotional roller coaster, but of course in a good way =) This story has it all, from humor, angst, romance, suspense, mystery.....definitely a must-read story, especially Chapter 20!!!!!
