Artist for more than thirty years and influenced by Portinari, Di Cavalcanti and Picasso, São Paulo born Edina Síkora joins the contemporary (in the main figures) and the naive (in the patchwork background) in in her works, focusing the brazilian people and its simple and colourful soul, at the same time that she portraits the duality of the human nature on the splitted faces of her personages.
Having many works abroad and inside Brazil, Edina Síkora has realised many exhibitions along her career.
In her new phasis, the artist is seeking to expand still more her borders trough the divulgation of her work, with the aim of rescue the rememberance of the simplicity of the human nature, so necessary in these times when the reality becomes more and more challenger.
