She was sister to the twins Elladan and Elrohir. She spent much of her early life in Lothl�rien, visiting her grandparents Galadriel and Celeborn. In 2951 T.A she came back to Rivendell and there she met Aragorn. They fell in love, but Aragorn had to go back into the wild. They met again in 2980 when he came to Lothl�rien. Arwen and Aragorn were betrothed to each other at Cerin Amroth and he gave her the Ring of Barahir. Elrond was not pleased, and would not let them marry unless Aragorn was made king of both Gondor and Anor. Arwen, who was half-elven, was told that she could not choose a mortal life until her father had sailed into the West. After the War of the Ring Aragorn was crowned king of the Reunited Kingdom. He and Arwen were married on Midsummer�s Day in 3019 T.A and she became queen of Gondor. Arwen knew that when her father sailed to the Undying Lands, she would be a mortal and therefore she gave her passage West to Frodo Baggins. Arwen and Aragorn had several children together, a son named Eldarion and a few daughters. When Aragorn passed in 120 F.O, Arwen returned to Lothl�rien and laid herself upon Cerin Amroth to die. |
