Michael married Barbara Pflieger before 1880, at unknown place, Russia. Barbara was born unknown date 1858, at Odessa, Russia, and died at Napoleon, North Dakota, unknown date 1931.
Michael and Barbara immigrated in 1892 to Canada, where they lived for one year. They then moved to Eureka, but later settled in Logan County, N.D. where they homesteaded in 1899. After their deaths, daughter, Johanna, and husband John Johs, continued the farm and the Johs family still maintain it to this day (2001).
