Paul Fisher is 12-year-old. At the age of five, some type of accident impaired his vision; he now has to wear coke-bottle glasses that help him see. His family has moved from Houston, Texas to Tangerine, Florida.

Everyone in Paul’s life thinks that he can’t see anything because of his glasses. On the contrary, Paul can see things that no one else can see. He sees the truth about his older brother, Erik. He knows how and why certain things happen in Lake Windsor Downs.

While living in Lake Windsor Downs, Paul attends Lake Windsor Middle School. Because of Paul’s eyesight, he is prohibited from playing soccer, although at Tangerine they might give him the opportunity.
