Arthur Bauer is an important character. He is the friend and goon of Erik Fisher, Paul’s brother. He goes everywhere Erik goes. When Erik goes out, Arthur Bauer drives the car for him and does everything Erik wants him to do.

Arthur lives vicariously, as the friend of the football star. He is not intelligent, smart, or a good sportsman. He seems to be an impatient and an easily frightened person.

Before Erik came to Tangerine, he had a friend named Castor. They made fun of Paul and made him nearly blind by spraying paint in his eyes. And after Erik moved to Tangerine, he found his new friend, Arthur, who did all the terrible things Erik wanted him to do.
