| Indian Lake tends to stay warmer than most lakes in the region. The shallow depth may contribute to this warmth. The lake is spring fed. Our dock is a bit rustic and is supported with old wagon wheels, it extends some 20' into the lake. Swimming is excellent and typical of most fresh water lakes. You can use the boat landing to launch your boat, it is only a short distance from the camp road. Boating of all types is great fun on Indian Lake though you should be aware of the markers for rocks that are just below the surface. Fishing for trout, bass, pickerel or perch will require a license available at the Indian Lake Market Looking from our cottage you will have views of the lake from every room and the three decks. A screened porch is just off the deck for those wet days when you want to enjoy the summer breeze. Around town you will find antique shops and country auctions. Yard sales seem to run into one another on weekends. The Moose HeadTrail is a short distance from the cottage if you decide to do some sightseeing. |
