This scenario is based in large part upon the official three-day scenario by Firaxis entitled Three Days at Gettysburg. Firaxis did a fine job and I intend no disrespect by publishing this enhanced three-day scenario.

The following changes and/or enhancements have been made to the Firaxis version:

    * The unit placement and arrival times from the official Firaxis scenario: The First Day: Meeting Engagement are incorporated. Therefore, The scenario now begins at 7:45 AM rather than 10:00 AM. This allows Buford's desperate fight against the lead elements of Heth's division while Reynolds hurries Meredith and Cutler into position.

This was the primary reason I created this scenario. I was a bit disappointed that the official three-day scenario began where First Contact: McPherson's Hill begins. The thrill of rushing the infantry up to the front while Buford's cavalry desperately clings to every inch of ground is not to be missed!
    * Union Division Commanders are now included! For some reason, Firaxis had removed them. That's over 20 morale-boosting commanders!

    * Hancock now arrives without his II corps shortly before 4:00 PM on the first day. (source: Meade's Official Report)

    * XII corps arrives at approximately 6:15 PM on the first day rather than 3:15 PM. (source: Meade's Official Report).

    * Most Union units have had their destinations changed slightly so that they stay on the road and fewer regiments become stragglers. The original destinations of most units should also feel more intuitive. Basically, you should notice a pattern. For example, on the first day in this version, most Union brigades/batteries will halt just barely south of Gettysburg--at the crossroads--to await further orders. However--in case you've been pushed back--on the second day, you'll find that they don't march quite so far ahead. Nothing's worse that marching freshly arrived reinforcments head-long into enemy troops while still in road column formation! The new destinations should help you avoid that while also allowing you to baby-sit units less.

    * There are many, many more. . . however, those are the most prominent enhancements.
