Fowl Supper Recipes and Food Prep
Turkey
turkeys, roasters are asked to provide the dressing for the turkey, carve the turkey, sort the white and dark meat, bring all the juices in a separate container.  Have the turkey to the hall at 3:00 p.m. or earlier.  Total uncooked weight should be 350 lbs.

Dressing
Prepare dressing recipe given out, bring in separte container to hall with turkey

Cabbage Rolls
cabbage roll cookers to be at the hall at designated time to help prepare cabbage rolls, they should bring along 2 ice cream pails.  Cabbage rolls to be cooked and brought to hall by 3:00 or earlier.  (No aluminum storage)

Hot Potato Salad
20lbs. Of white potatoes cooked but firm enough to peel and cube.  Donors are asked to bring potatoes to hall ready to use.  Potato salad makers (at the hall) will add 6lbs. Onions, salt, pepper, vinegar, and turkey juice.

Mashed Potatoes
20lbs.  Of white potatoes cut up, cooked, and brought hot for mashing (save potato water, to bring in a separate container) makers (at the hall) will add butter and milk.

Gravy
Made at the hall with potato water, turkey juice, 4 litres water, and 2 cups of chicken gravy mix.   Makes 4 pots of gravy.

Perogies
Each cooker is to cook perogies until they float to the top of the pot, drain and pour hot vegetable oil over to keep them from sticking together.  Makers (at the hall) will fry onions and butter to pour over the perogies.

Vegetables
Cook at the hall, should take vegetables out of the freezer at noon to give them a chance to thaw.  Cook 24 kg. Of vegatables reusing the hot water from previously boiled pot.

Buns
To be picked up and sliced the day of . 14 doz brown and 14 doz.white.

Cranberries and Pickles
Cranberries to be put in bowls.  Pickles to becut into 1/4 pieces and put into bowls.

Pies
like to request homemade pies, donors are asked to bring 2-4 pies, preferably in foil plates.  They may make pumpkin,  lemon, or apple..(any kind will do)  Discourage bought pies.  Whipping cr�am  will be supplied by the community club.

Coffee, Tea, and Juice
Start 2 perks (use 5 cups grounds) at 3:30 the other 2 perks at 5:00.  Water for tea should be heated and 7 tea bags for a 30 cup perk.  Juice can be made in the afternoon and put in the cooler.
Dressing
4 loaves white bread
2 cups celery chopped fine
2 medium onion chopped fine
1 1/2 cup melted margarine
2 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. Sage
1 tsp. Pepper
2 pkg. Or 2 cubes chicken bouillon dissolved in 12 oz. Water

Mix well, stuff turkey just before cooking.
