SG Laresa vom Alpenhof

OFA H&E
Laresa came to me from Alpenhof kennels in Ontario. I flew out there, and picked her up when she was 8 weeks old. The plane ride never fazed her, and she quickly settled in to her new home.
She has been an absolute delight to work and live with.
I compete in CKC Competitive Obedience, Rally Obedience and Agility, so she started her training at a young age.
She LOVES to work, and is always at my side.

Laresa is a medium-large black and red female.....the red is quite RED! She stands 23.5 inches at the withers, and weighs in at 75 pounds......nice size for a female! Her angulation is NOT extreme,  she is extremely athletic...agile and fast. We do a lot of Obedience and Agility, and she has many titles! She has an incredible amount of BALL drive, and could play all day. When it's time to work, she is always ready to go. She has been tested for courage and protectiveness, and I'll just say this.......I feel extremely safe when she is with me.......she is NOT aggressive, and loves people, but can turn on when there is a threat. She has been a great mother to both her litters, and is still very tolerant of the 2 we kept.
This was taken at 18 months....she has filled out a lot more, now.
Laresa has a gorgeous head!
Not a posed pic, the snow was very deep one winter.......
PEDIGREE
Laresa is a Kirschental girl. It took me many years to finally acquire the dog I have always dreamed of. My search started with Shelley Fritzke of Tehillah German Shepherds, when she was breeding her Cheyenne to Lassan vom Kirschental. Shelley had the pleasure to live and work with Lassan in herding, and was always raving about him.The breeding never took, and I was on a wait list for a different Lassan litter, but there were not enough pups.  My search finally ended when I found Alpenhof kennels. Laresa's dam Resa vom Kirschental was imported by Michele O, and later bred to Lassan. I was the lucky recipient of the only female in that litter. Resa was used daily to tend sheep with Karl Fuller of Kirschental kennels in Germany before being sold. She is V rated in Conformation, and has her HGH title. She is a daughter of Matzo vom Kirschental.  . Kirschental kennels is a famous German kennel where the dogs are bred for the German 'tending' style of working sheep.
