| My Special Thanks | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
While walking down the street today, I saw a crippled boy, Leaning for support upon a gate. Watching as his little friends, Ran for fun and joy, With tear-filled eyes, he cried, "Please, won't you wait."

Today, while walking in the park, I saw a poor blind man, Shuffling with his cane, to find a seat. While stepping from a bus, I saw, A girl who used her hands, To help folks understand, She could not speak.

Tonight, while laying in my bed, And struggling for my sleep, I asked the Lord to bless me, And asked Him, my soul to keep. But my thoughts kept turning to the folks, I'd seen today, And I realized, how much I take For granted everyday.

For I have two legs and feet on which, Each day, I firmly stand. I have two eyes which plainly see, The wonders of God's hand. A voice to speak, Two ears to hear, And hands with which to pray, "Dear Heavenly Father, please accept, My special thanks today."
