Nan Evans
Sept 2, 1893 - Oct 9, 1974
An angel walked upon the earth for eighty one long years.
She left her mark upon each soul she met.
A smile she had for everyone, so gentle, and so sweet,
Her angel smile we never will forget.
When sickness came to trouble her, as it often did,
She'd smile and say, "You know, it could be worse!
And as I look around me, I certainly am blessed."
She would always think of others first.
She had a word of wisdom, for everyone in need.
A helping hand she'd always try to give.
She tried to show each one of us, in her special way,
That God's way, is the only way to live.
Now God has called this angel back, to Heaven for his own,
He's taken all her burdens and her cares.
Yes, God has reunited, Nan and Grandpa Evans,
We miss them, but we know they're happy there.

Nan told us all, before she died, not to shed a tear,
She knew we didn't want to say "good bye",
She longed to be with Grandpa, she'd been lonely since he died,
And knowing Nan, she forgave us when we cried.
