KARAOKE NIGHT HUGE SUCCESS

Last night at Geheimnisvolles' Tavern was the first Karaoke Night in Eden Falls, and the Tavern itself. Geheimnisvoll himself lead the festivities off with singing "Follow your Heart". To sing that night, you needed to order 2 beers and then get up on the stage. I am no singer, truth be told, so I kept to myself, drinking a Manhattan watching the festivities.

The second person up was police Deputy Santa himself. Since he is a North Pole native, he sang an oldie but goodie Christmas favorite "Jingle Bell Rock". He got cheers for many people, including Gehnimnisvolles himself, who egged him on.

Next went Gertie Hossenfeffer, singing "If I could Turn Back Time". I think she was a bit tipsy since she stumbled on her way to the stage, but whatever works if fine. She got many cheers by the audience, and went back and served the customers.

Next went Kylie, who dedicated her song to Kevin. She said he knew why, and we can only guess. Her song was "I'm to Sexy". A good choice, as she sang her heart out, half drunk from 3 beers.

Next up was Santa again, doing a modern inner city poetry gig, dressed in a beret and dark sunglasses and hitting bongo drums. I think this was to pass time to see who would be the next one up. Sure enough we had a taker.

Next to go was Lloyd Patrick. He sang the song I think he made up called "You Cut It". Its funny lyrics made no sense, but by that time I think everyone was to drunk to care.

Finally, I decided to succumb to peer pressure, and sing my own song. I got up and sang my all time favorite, "American Pie". It was definitely a night to remember.

Geheimnisvolles' Tavern is one of the city hot spots for sure. Almost everyone goes there, and it has now attracted me as a regular thanks to Karaoke night. It is definitely worth a look to people who live in Eden Falls, or are just passing through.
