Lep 7 was my favourite bus when i was a kid going to school, but it was very rarely our school bus, as it spent most of its working life on the Aycliffe-Bishop Auckland route ( later 91-92)
Sadly the bus was sold to Scarlet Band Motors before i started driving for The Eden.

A sad end for Lep10, this bus was 1 of 4 Derwents bought new  in 1976, pictured here parked in the corner this bus had been involved in a road accident and was jammed in the Bridge at Tindale Cresc. Lepoard 12-& 14 (there never was a 13) are stored awaiting restoration.
Above: Lep 3, 9272PT (above) was bought from Weardale Motor Sevices and ran for The Eden nearly right through the 1970's this manual Leyland Leopard Plaxton Highway was one of 5 owned, the others were 7272PT, 6MPT,  RUP6D & YPT341.

The same bus as on the left  but by the Time this photo was taken nearly 25 years had lapsed 6MPT  has been re registered as ACU304B, and is the property of Mark Dolan, a keen bus enthusiast.
