| Adrian Rice visited the parent's Group at Edenbrook. He shared his background, stories and poetry. He talked about his book "The Mason's Tongue" and how he got interested in writing poetry. He shared "I am" poems written by their children and ended the workshop with getting the parents to write an "I am" poem about themselves. |

| Principal Betty Orr then had the poems spiral-bound into a gift to showcase their creative works. |
| I AM I am a single father. I wonder how I can cope. I hear children laughing. I see a lot of hope. I want just to be happy in life. I am a single father. I pretend not to bothered. | Edenbrooke Primary School has a family project, which encourages parents to get more involved in the education of their children. The project offers good childcare for parents who want to participate in a range of courses, such as computers, parenting, health, cooking and arts & crafts. |
