Training, as one of the components of quality systems, plays a vital and crucial role in increasing and enhancing skills and competencies. Functional training provides employees with knowledge, skills and tools necessary for the adequate performance of their job. Training programs respond to the organization's business needs as well as the individual employee's performance and learning needs. Thus, training acts as a catalyst in the development of an organization. This is why it is critical that those in the organization who are responsible for transferring skills o other employees need to be properly equipped to effectively carry out their responsibility. It starts with understanding Training, The Learning Principles and what they need to do in order to effect learning every time they run training programs.
General Objective:
At the end of the workshop, the participants are expected to enumerate and describe steps in the process of preparing and conducting a training course.

Identify the components of a training design; list down some techniques and methodologies suitable for training. Determine logistical requirements in organizing and conducting a training course Present a sample functional training design. Prepare a lesson plan.
