Looking East from Stoney Creek in June 2003, the photo on the left photo shows the remains of a mesh and star picket water flow barrage and a Red Gum seedling that was fenced off in early 2001. It had been repeatedly eaten down by sheep. Sheep now have no access to this gully following fencing. The photo on the right, taken in February 2005 shows the stronger ground cover as well as the growth of the red gum. |

There is always something... Prickly Pear in the bush block. A mixture of 50/50 Roundup and water, injected with a modified drench gun into each leaf is the only way to control this pest. I'd prefer to sell the fruit: a luxury in places like Malta, Crete and Cyprus! |
