"As a symbol of the personal dignity of the students, the founding Josephites chose as a mascot for St. Augustine High School, the 'Purple Knight.'  As Fr. (Eugene) McManus wrote, 'The Purple Knight is a symbol of manly virtue.  He holds honor high.  The Purple Knight is loyal to his God, his school, and to his faculty.  He has fierce devotion to his school, and he will never permit anyone, including himself to disgrace it in any way.'"

WELCOME TO MY WEB PAGE DEDICATED TO MY ALMA MATER!

I proudly graduated from St. Aug in 1988.  I did not attend the school as a result of just wanting to go somewhere that I thought was cool.  As was the case for  many Purple Knights, attending St. Aug was a dream come true for me.

It goes without saying that St. Aug has been more than just a high school experience for me as well as many other alumni.  To answer the question, "Why a DEDICATION PAGE to a high school?" just click the links.

Enjoy!
