DG FIX
A good pipe that was not properly tested at the factory because everyone I know who owns this pipe have stripped collars too.  This procedure can be peformed as well for other pipes with stripped collars.
A)  SAW THE TIP OFF
Hacksaw the lip that holds the faulty collar form slipping off.  (I'll explain this later)
B)  PURCHASE A STOCK YSR PIPE'S STEEL COLLAR FROM TCR ($15) AND A WASHER THAT'S BIG ENOUGH TO SIT INSIDE THE STEEL COLLAR ($.20) FROM A HARDWARE STORE
Why do you need a washer?  Because the stock collar's hole is larger than the DG's hole. (see the picture on the right)
C)  GO TO THE LOCAL MUFFLER SHOP TO PUT IT TOGETHER ($20)
If you know how to weld then do it yourself.  I don't have the tools or knowledge about welding hence.....  well.... First place the steel collar on the pipe and have the welder modify the washer to fit on the tip of the pipe you cut off.  Leave a small lip for the exhaust gasket can rest on.  And there you have it....a DG pipe that stays on during a race.  I swear, I wish I had performed this fix sooner in 2001.  I tried saftywiring and  spring loading the orignal collar to the cylinder.  After a few laps on the track the collar would pop off and my bike would loose power.
