EDCTSA 4th Annual Banquet, The
Business Meeting: Proposed Bylaw and Show Rule Changes and Elections.
Bylaw changes:
1. The position of Vice President shall also include equipment manager duties. This would include being responsible for ribbons, tests, the show box and the arena. Duties would include keeping inventory and reordering of items. MOTION PASSED.
2. Club directory to include membership’s phone #’s and emails. Update at banquet and let us know if you do not want to be in the directory. MOTION PASSED.
3. Change fiscal year from Feb 1 to Jan 31, so that can have a Jan. EDCTSA benefit show. Move annual meeting to Feb. MOTION NOT PASSED.
4. Reinstate the 50% show attendance requirement for award eligibility.
MOTION PASSED.
Show rule changes:
1. Mandatory helmet
use for 18 and under riders. Strongly
recommended for all adults at all EDCTSA sponsored activities. MOTION
PASSED.
2. Recommend not
using the same show judge at back to back shows. Try to mix it up and limit one judge per show
per year. MOTION PASSED.
3. $2.00 discount at shows for EDCTSA members. Reword from should to shall. May eliminate some creativity such as multiple ride discount, such as at the Onslow Pines show. MOTION PASSED by tie breaking vote.
4. Amend for show application for show dates – change from 60 days.
MOTION NOT PASSED.
5. If show schedule is made and paid by Feb. 1, then tests
and show box are free of charge. MOTION PASSED.
