Treasurers Report.  Current: $961.45

Old Business:

1.      The show numbers or “pennies” that were going to be donated to the club were lost when Kiki had a car accident.  Jennifer motioned that EDCTSA purchase a set of numbers to be added to the show box.  Sue seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

2.      June 10th – Onslow Pines show.  Possible goals for funds may be scholarships for clinics or additional end of year scholarship awards.  Some ideas included highest scorer, lowest scorer(“at risk rider”).  Everyone needs to sell one sponsor for the horse show.  Prizes are being collected and members need to try to get more donations. Walmart has donated an 18” TV.

New Business:

1.      Jennifer will submit a note to Shari for the newsletter for people who want their name on a list of contacts to help with future dressage shows in Williamston.

2.      Shari submitted to the board what would a lifetime farm membership cost?

3.      A question from a member was presented to the board if points from the 4-H show could be used since it is on the same day as the Jasmine Meadows show.  The board agreed that the points cannot be used towards end of year awards since the 4-H show is not an EDCTSA recognized show.

4.      VP position is open since Kiki is going out of the country.  Pat appointed Amy Gaston to take the VP position.   Board approved appointment.

5.      Miracle Meadows show April 22.  Amy said that if she has the only Horse Trial division that MM would provide the end of year award for that division.

6.      Jackie Acha is working on increasing farm memberships.  Susin Daly has offered to conduct a clinic as a fund raiser for the club.

7.      Robin submitted a motion that the position for newsletter and website manager be made into two positions instead of the one.  This would also mean that the board would have to add or subtract one member at large.  Motion was seconded by Shari and motion carried to bring this motion to the membership at the end of year banquet business meeting.

8.      Amy volunteered to host the EDCTSA summer picnic, usually held in July.

Next meeting,  May 3rd, will be held at McAllister’s.

Jennifer motioned to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Pat.

Meeting adjourned.  Respectfully submitted by Jennifer Stone
