Lomography

Hot on the heels of Graham buying himself a Lomo camera late last year, Jacqui picked one up for my birthday. Wonderful woman. Lomo cameras are a bit weird, really simple to use and have a nice sharp lens. If you want to find out what the hell all the fuss is about go to the Lomo website and find out for yourself. Even though it's relatively simple to use, there are some things that it's not good at and I'm still getting the hang of it. Here are a few shots that I'm proud of from the first two films - both standard 100ASA colour negative film.

Around Euston

• I am the new Julius Schulman! Photo taken of the two new buildings on Euston Road right behind where I work. The sun really helps on this one.
• Moody picture taken on the back stairs whilst I was leaving the office one evening.
• Cool picture of a strip light on the next landing down the stairs.
• Staying with the Euston theme, here's a shot of a moving tube train....not the most original idea, but it always does it for me.

South London

• Our local tube station.

• A portable toilet being delivered to the building site next to our house. The composition's not great, but I really like the colours.
• Shot in a bath in Balham; a mummy duck and her brood being chased by three devil ducks. Art up the wazoo!
• Taken at the Sainsburys 'SavaCentre' in Colliers Wood. I was going for the Martin Parr vibe on this one.

Last Three

• Taken from a bus heading South over Waterloo bridge from Holborn. A view of the Thames towards the East.
• 5 seconds later.
• Approaching midnight. Guildford station. Heading back into Clapham Junction. Another blurred train. Nice colours again.
