I Am One
Look at me
Not through me
See what I am inside
I amy not be the prettiest
I may not be the smartest
but I am me.

I am one who cries,
Alone in a windowless room,
Who's self esteem is there,
But travels up and down.

I am one who fears,
of dark things in the night,
of my very own mind,
and what I am capable of.

I am one who hides,
from problems grown to big,
of things that I should face,
and especially from me.

I am one who cries,
who fears,
who hides,
I am one of all of these
but most of all, I am me.
