I have had the honour to receive many awards and scholarships in recognition to my research work. The following is a list for the awards and scholarships received until September 2005:
- Arthur M. Wellington Prize from American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the paper "Three-Dimensional Model for Stop-Control Intersection Sight Distance". That paper was co-authored with Said Easa and Muhammad Z. Ali (2005).
- Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) from the Provincial Government of Ontario - Canada for two consecutive years (2001 - 2003).
- Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Scholarship for years (2005-2006).
- National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Scholarship for three consecutive years (2004 - 2007).
- Ryerson Graduate Award (RGA) from Ryerson University for two consecutive years (2004-2006).
