| Balance I walk the line of salvation of being a person just and true my kindness, caring and gentleness brought out by love that new I walk the line of damnation from ancient pain in my heart My anger, fear, and hatred evil just waiting to start I walk the line between them a tightrope thru my life Balancing heaven against hell Good times against strife To this day I cannot choose how I am meant to be I will decide after my life is done And until then just be me. |
| The Garden A man once grew a garden he tended it with love It grow and he was happy The sun shone up above But a storm came one night Destroying what he grew And in dispair he sat around not knowing what to do For months it sat empty barren, lifeless and bare The dirt dried up, the weeds grew tall No beauty remained there By chance he found a flower weak, hurt and abused He could easily have passed her by But this time he refused He took her to his home She recovered with much care He took her to his garden With love planted her there The garden began to grow again much to his surprise In the center was the flower The most beautiful to his eyes |
