Single Handed sinner

I fall from grace,
Illusions gone,
Dreams subside,
From life before,

My judgement,
Guilty,
The crime of life,
Ended so abruptly, that most fateful of nights.

Watching helpless,
My body below,
Two mortal wounds,
From which my blood flows,

My face once ravaged,
A life of hurt,
A life of hate,
Now looks calm, at peace for the first time.

The sun dawns,
On a blushing corpse,
As the world watches,
A product of its systems now has gone,

But that was before,
I cannot see,
A lifetime in an instant change
I walk on now full of regret,

A final look over my shoulder,
At what I have done,
The gentlest tap signals my end,
As I knock the gates of hell...
