NEW EXCLUSIVE ECW MUSIC CD COMING SOON!
Sunday, October 17, 2005 / Posted by: The Innovator
I've been working on putting together a hard rock/metal compilation of some of the most memorable ECW theme songs. The songs that made ECW. I don't know what everyone else thinks but i for one think the music of Extreme Championship Wrestling was a huge contribution to the success, entertainment and excitement of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Could you imagine if the stars of ECW Wrestling came out to generic theme songs or no songs at all! No one can forget the feeling they got when "Enter Sandman" would hit. Even if you didn't like rock music you had to stand up. Adrenaline would just shoot through your veins. The music would get you so pumped up and than The Sandman would come out cigarette in mouth, beer in one hand, singapor cane in the other. The music would get you so hyped. The compilation is 90% complete. All i have to do is make the back cover. I'll be putting the cd up on the net for all you hardcore chain smoking, beer drinking fanatics to download for FREE! I know ECW released 2 previous albums but this is the definitive ECW collection. All the orignial artists, all your favorite ECW theme songs on one compact disc. The cd is almost 80 minutes long! Nothing but classics. Below is the front cover and tracklisting. Keep checking back for more updates.

- In addition to the above, the never before seen angle where The Sandman was crucified by Raven and his nest does appear on the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD.

The angle is seen in several clips with Kurt Angle (Angle was at the show and was very angry and upset about the angle) and Steven Richards discussing it.

People featured on the DVD for comments include Paul Heyman, Vince McMahon, Tommy Dreamer, former ECW producer Ron Buffone, Mick Foley, Nunzio (Little Guido in ECW), Bubba Ray Dudley, Chris Jericho, D-Von Dudley, Tazz, Mick Foley, Al Snow, and Spike Dudley.

Apparently, Vince McMahon confirms that Paul Heyman was under WWE payroll during ECW's run, partially in return for talent that left ECW for the then-WWF.

The main feature of the DVD is said to run close to three hours total in a documentary-style presentation.

Just a reminder to everyone that WWE Home Video's The Rise+Fall Of ECW (2-Disc DVD Set) will be in stores this upcoming Tuesday (November 16, 2004). This is going to be a huge release for all of you true hardcore ECW fans and die-hard wrestling fans in general. If you've been watching WWE Smackdown lately during comercial breaks you've probably seen that they've been running promos for the DVD in which none other than Paul E. Heyman the former owner of the company says in the background "Buy it or we'll put you through a table!". It's going to be hands down the best DVD WWE has ever released.

To the right is the cover artwork and below are the chapter listings, easter eggs and bonus material for the DVD. In all it looks to be around 6 hours long! That's including the easter eggs and bonus material.
The Rise+Fall Of ECW In Stores Now! + Paul Heyman On Byte This and The Return Of ECW!

If you didn't already know or forgot, The Rise+Fall Of ECW DVD is in stores now! From what i hear it's flying off shelves and people are having a hard time getting ahold of it so go out and get yours now! I got my copy on Tuesday at FYE and it came with a free ECW skull cap. Best Buy also had a promotion where it came with a free Rob Van Dam action figure! I can't say enough good things about the dvd and despite what alot of die-hard fans thought, WWE actually did ECW justice and really covered all they could in 3 hours. The documentary is excellent and it made me apreciate even more that i was able to live through The rise and fall of the greatest wrestling company ever who revolutionized the sport. I never realized how much ECW really struggled to get to the point they were at and the tremendous support that the fans put in. ECW was a fan driven company and no one gave back more to the fans then ECW. I truely miss the days when ECW was around and the dvd pretty much states that TNN killed ECW so fuck TNN. Paul Heyman said that ECW was the guinea pig of TNN just to see if wrestling would work on there network. Basically, Heyman says that the only reason ECW folded was because they couldn't get to another network in time. Anyway the dvd covers so much it's really brought me back in time and it was great re-living the good ol days of ECW. It was hard to watch the end because at that point the reality kicked in that ECW is nomore. So, to sum it up, if you haven't purchased the dvd yet go out and do so now. If you can't find it try and order it online via highspots.com or bestbuy.com. I especially recomend it to new fans of ECW who missed the revolution and to fans who missed the essence of the company or any true wrestling fan.

In other news Paul Heyman was on a special ECW edition of Byte This WWE's weekly internet show. Also, on the show were special guests Droz, Tommy Dreamer, Taz, Bubbah Ray Dudley and Beulah McGuilicutty breaks her silence!!! They remmenice on there time in ECW an how big of a phenomenon it really was. Heyman says that he was happy of the way that hey portrayed ECW and that it's definitley not from WWE's perspective beacause they gave ECW too much credit. He admits to being on WEE's payroll and even says that Vince gave ECW a huge loaback in 2000. Paul said that he actually had nothing to do with the making of the dvd and his only complaint was that they didn't show how big ECW got towards the end and how huge of a phenomenon the company really was and how they sold out The Hammerstien Ballroom, there first and only show in California and all these other places. He said that they were alot more than brutal, hardcore wrestling. All in all it's a great show and you can check it out by going to
WWE.Com and clicking on Byte This in the menu.

Finally, NoDQ.com reported news of a possible ECW return. They said with all the buzz going on right now about ECW, it would be the perfect time to start up the brand again. I for one am hoping that this DOES NOT HAPPEN as it just won't be the same and will probably come off as a watered down version of the original ECW.

ECW Invades RAW! ECW 'One Night Stand' Live on PPV this Sunday!

First off, i'd like to apologize for the lack of updates to the site. This is a side project for me and to show my apreciation for all the great memories that ECW gave me and to keep the legacy alive and well forever in cyberspace.

Wow, i don't know where to begin because so much has been going on lately .Well, by now you should know that the ECW one time reunion pay-per-view event is nolonger just a rumor, it's a reality. Last night on RAW, ECW once again invaded the WWF errr... 'E'. Bischoff kept mentioning rumors of Paul Heyman being there. Well, Bischoff challenged Heyman and ECW. At the end of the show, The Dudley Boys came out and interferred during a match i think it was Snitsky vs. Benoit but i wasn't really paying much attention until the end of the match. Benoit won i think since it was ECW rules. Anyway the Dudleys ran out into the crowd and security caught them in the back and handcuffed them. The Dudleys and Heyman were in the back handcuffed surrounded by security exchanging words with the Couch. Heyman told Couch it's just like Bischoff to issue a challenge and backdown. Coach let them go and then Bischoff personally addressed the challenge in the ring. Bischoff and a few RAW guys were standing in the ring, i know one was Edge, i think Muhamad Hassan, not sure. Anyway Heyman and the Dudleys come out from through the crowd. Heyman puts over ECW and says that Bischoff and WCW may have had an endless budget to fund the company and all this other stuff but they didn't have the passion and the bond with the audience like ECW had. Bischoff signals for more RAW guys. Heyman scrambles around the ring. He grabs the mic again and says that ECW never ever ever backs down from a fight (or challenge) and then my favorite part. The ECW army lead by Tommy Dreamer makes there way through the crowd to the ring. The Sandman in all his glory, cigarette in mouth, singapore cane in hand, Rhyno, Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten. The shows ends with a brawl breaking out and ECW clearing the ring. At the end they bring out and ECW flag and hold it up over the ropes with all them standing behind it looking at Bischoff and his RAW stars. I must say it was great to see these guys again. It was remenicent of ECW invasion years ago especially with Dreamer and Sandman standing in the ring and Dreamer with his arms out doing his signature pose (if you could call it that, i guess). I'll order it although im not going into it with any expectations because i don't want to be let down. I really wanted to see Sabu come out with them. They ran a Sabu promo so he has to be there. When the brawl broke out i was waiting for the lights to go out and Sabu apear in the ring with his finger pointed toward the sky. Haha, im living in the past but it's still good to see ECW back in some fashion. I just hope they don't fuck up ECW's legacy with the PPV and i hope this invasion shit gets killed quick and not have the show revolve around it. I still think Shane's show will be more authentic but no Dreamer. Sandman's doing both shows i think. I hope New Jack invades the PPV with the a shopping cart full of weapons.
