ECW has a new bastion of extreme and he goes by the name of Punk. This past Saturday night at a television taping in Cincinnati, No. 1 contender CM Punk reshaped the Land of the Extreme by seizing the ECW Championship from John Morrison. After coming within inches of the title in several instances against Morrison, the tenacious Straightedge Superstar defeated three other competitors � Boogeyman, The Miz and Big Daddy V � last week on ECW on Sci Fi to earn No. 1 contendership. Persistent as ever, CM Punk walked into the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati and unseated the self-proclaimed Shaman of Sexy in the middle of the ring in front of thousands of elated Punk fans.
