| The fact that Café Cultura Baños
does not provide private bathrooms is reflected in the
price of $10 per person per night. Room 7, with private
bathroom, is $15 per person per night. Built in 1947 Café Cultura in Baños was one of the few houses to withstand the earthquake which destroyed most of Ambato and Baños in 1948. The hotel, a beautiful colonial house, consists of: library, café, outside terrace for dining, balcony, six bedrooms, two bathrooms and one extra bedroom with private bathroom. The nearby waterfall and natural hot volcanic springs for which Baños has become famous are but a two minute walk from the hotel. The three south-facing rooms and balcony provide spectacular views of Baños' most famous waterfall. RESTAURANT CAFÉ The Café is open daily from 7:00am to 7:00pm. As with Quito, all of our breads, jams and muesli are freshly made on the premises and served with fresh filter coffee or Earl Grey tea. English cream tea together with a selection of cakes and pastries are also available. The restaurant is open at noon with service to 7:00pm with a selection of vegetarian and other dishes. RESERVATIONS Bookings for Baños can either be made through our Quito office [email protected] or directly in Baños where a fluent english speaking receptionist will attend you. |
