MANAGER OF THE MONTH - MAY
Name - Carlo Ancelotti
Club - AC Milan
Monthly Briefing
AC Milan have put a dodgy opening month behind them to secure three wins in four of their matches in May avoiding defeat along the way. Manager Carlo Ancelotti, who boasts probably the deadliest partnership in the league right now in Fernando Torres and Andriy Shevchenko, also lead his team to three straight ECS Cup group stage wins easing them into the Quarter Finals. Ajax's Danny Blind notched up second place after only losing once, which is a massive improvement on last month's performances. They also managed two wins and a draw and narrowly missed out on the Cup's latter stages. Juventus boss Fabio Capello came third for the second consecutive month. His results mirrored Ajax's and AC Milan's 4-3 over their Italian rivals meant Juve's unbeaten run came to an abrupt end at the Stadio Delle Alpi.
2nd - Danny Blind (Ajax)
3rd - Fabio Capello (Juventus)

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - MAY
Name - Luca Toni
Club - Ajax
Position - Forward
Monthly Briefing
With four goals in four games, a man of the match award and two appearences in the ECS Team of the Week, Luca Toni has thoroughly deserved his award. His goals in the Cup also ensured Ajax were not there to make up the numbers and made it hard for Man Utd and Barcelona to qualify. His sublime lobbed finish .v. Man Utd in the Cup was the highlight of his month in particular. PSV's on loan midfielder Ruben Olivera has surprised everyone with his performances of late. He managed to get himself into the team of the week on one occasion to cap off a remarkable month for the Juventus contracted player. Arsenal's Aliaksandr Hleb grabbed third place. His glut of goals have been a major factor in Arsenal's slight run of form. Two man of the match awards didn't go a miss either.
2nd - Ruben Olivera (PSV)
3rd - Aliaksandr Hleb (Arsenal)

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE MONTH - MAY
Name - Cesc Fabregas
Club - Chelsea
Position - Midfield
Monthly Briefing
Little Cesc Fabregas has been inspirational for Chelsea over the month. The Spaniard has been consistent, determined and has shown incredible work-rate during games and is one of very few of the Chelsea stars, especially the rising stars, to have shone through with aplumb. Barcelona striker Carlos Tevez has started racking the goals up too. The Argie netted four goals which included a hat-trick in the 3-2 win over Manchester United in the league, where he also earned a well deserved man of the match award. German defender Philip Lahm of Bayern Munich did enough to come third. He has shone his goalscoring capabilities as well as his tackling for Bayern. His strong, comfortable and well-organised approach to the game has seen him a frequent inclusion in the team of the week.
2nd - Carlos Tevez (Barcelona)
3rd - Philip Lahm (Bayern Munich)

GOAL OF THE MONTH - MAY
Name - Xabi Alonso
Club - Liverpool
Position - Midfield
Monthly Briefing
Alonso made a good run to allow Steven Gerrard to launch an excellent forty-yard ball to the edge of the box for the Spaniard who controlled on his knee and let fly with a stunning volley on the outside of his right foot swerving it outwards into the top far corner. It was a fantastic strike during a fantastic 5-0 win over Rangers in week six. Stuttgart's Danish ace Jesper Gronkjaer came second as he scored in the team's 2-1 win over PSV recently in week nine. The former Chelsea winger lashed at the ball from twenty-five yards and an audatious outswing confused Gomes taking it into the top far corner. Third place went to England captain David Beckham. His free-kick for AC Milan in week six in the 3-2 win against Stuttgart curled sweetly over the wall and dipped to the right of the stranded Timo Hildebrand from twenty-five yards.
2nd - Jesper Gronkjaer (VfB Stuttgart)
3rd - David Beckham (AC Milan)
